Wings of Fire Book One
Wings of Fire is a book series by Tui T Sutherland. There are fifteen books in the main series, three arcs, two side books called "Legends", four side books called "Winglets", and five graphic novels of the main series. In total, there are twenty-six books. There are seven tribes. the MudWings, the SandWings, the SkyWings, the SeaWings, the RainWings, the IceWings, and the NightWings. The MudWings can hold their breath up to an hour and are healed by mud. The SandWings have a venomous tail barb and thrive in the heat. SkyWings are fast fliers and fierce fighters. SeaWings can breathe underwater, see in the dark, and have glowy scales. RainWings have prehensile tails and can change their scales to blend in to their surroundings. IceWings can breathe frostbreath and withstand cold temperatures. NightWings can read minds and see the future. In arc one, there is a war that has lasted twenty years. The SandWing Queen was killed by scavengers (humans), and she had three heirs. Now five of the seven tribes are cought up in a war to put one of them on the throne. five dragonets, a MudWing, a SeaWing, a SkyWing, a NightWing and a SandWing, are prophesized to end the war.
